Alexandra M. - Otter Creek

My favorite spot is right by the river…it's the stone embankment you can get to if you walk up the little miniature canyon. The water might be too high to walk right now, but it's a gorgeous spot regardless. You can picnic on the stone bank with your feet in the water when the water is lower.

Jamie Brookside - Wright Park

There's a spot in Wright Park that's my absolute favorite spot in all of Vermont, so far! I will have to show you because it's too hard to describe.

It's where I go to escape, get grounded, and feel earth's gravity. I like it because it's simple, accessible, and NOT grand or spectacular. It reminds me to be who I am, to be truthful and humble. It's simple, it just is.

“No Man Falls” - E. Middlebury

“I don’t care if I never see another man again.”

(Backstory: I met a woman once who told me about this waterfall. She explained it to me in great detail how it’s a short hike up through this private land by a public access trail. She said she goes up there all the time to escape. “It’s so beautiful. When I’m there, I don’t care if I ever see another man again.” she told me. She didn’t ask me to photograph it, and it took me months before I finally tracked down the spot.)
